Purpose
To expand the role of NTHU Library (hereinafter referred to as the “library” ), The library shares resources with the public in certain conditions.
Application
Regular Application: Individuals at an age of 16 or above may apply at the circulation desk. The library will issue no more than 200 cards in total.
Complimentary Card: Retirees and holders of Alumni Card may apply for his/her spouse and direct relative (the age of 16 or above), unbounded by the 200-card quota.
Via Donation: Details as regulated in “National Tsing Hua Library Donated Items and Documents Regulations”
Access and Service
The card requires an annual fee of 2000 NTD, and a deposit of 3000 NTD.
The deposit should be paid at application, and fully returned at the termination of membership. The library is entitled to collect unpaid fines from the deposit in the case of a violation of library regulations.
The card grants access to the library entrance, computer and internet service, audiovisual materials viewing in library use, and books borrowing. Borrowed books are due in 30 days; reservations are allowed, but not renewals.
Notice
The library membership card is limited to personal use only.
The library send all sorts of notification through email, hence applicants must provide valid email address.
Patrons should abide by regulations of the library when using. Violations will lead to punishment according to library regulations.
