UST Interlibrary Service Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

The Main Library, the Humanities and Social Sciences Branch and Nanda Branch are available for picking up and returning UST books.

Yes, you can! Also, all UST books can be returned at the NTHU Main Library, Humanities and Social Sciences Branch and Nanda Branch.

Ex. Amy’s student ID barcode is 021030101-0.

    • ID and Password both are ROC ID Number.
    • ID : Your ARC (Alien Resident Certificate) number with all capital letters or Last six digits of your Student ID Number + your birthdate(mmdd). e.g. If your Student ID Number is 106998776, and your birthday is 7/31, the ID by default is 9987760731. Your Password is the same as your ID
  • NTHU, NCTU and NCU have Recall Policy.
  • NTHU, NCTU: the loan period will be shortened to 14 days.
  • NCU: the loan period will be shortened to 7 days for Renewals.

UST borrowing rules are as follow:

  • Max. 10 items, loan period 30 days, renew once.

The UST shuttle deliveries books every working day (Monday to Friday) during school semesters, while only once a week during winter and summer breaks.

No, but you can visit the other UST libraries in person and use the e-resources there.

If the requested books have not been processed,you can cancel your requests on your UST My Account > Transaction Records > Borrow Record.

If the items have already been delivered, please email cir@my.nthu.edu.tw for help.

During winter and summer breaks, the UST book delivering shuttle only operates once a week. We will check you off according to the date you returned the items to NTHU library, but it will be shown that they are overdue until NCTU actually receives the items. please ignore the overdue notice. For other inquiries, please email cir@my.nthu.edu.tw for help.

Log into UST My Account > Transaction Records > Borrow Record and cancel the requests.

The entering and borrowing privileges of UST universities' freshly graduated students expires on June 30th. After July 1st, you would lose your entering and borrowing privileges, so you need to enter as a visitor instead.

Yes, they can enter the NTHU library by swapping the temporary library card exchanged with their valid student cards at the entrance, not limited by any entry quota or specific times (ex. exam period).
