Wireless Internet Service

Users

University faculty, staffs, students, and those with a valid ID to enter the Library may use the wireless internet.

Usage

How: Users must have an account and password to use the system as well as follow the instructions after connecting to the system.

NTHU faculty, staff, and students

Please use your account and password provided by the University Computer and Communication Center to access the system.

Other users

The NTHU Temporary Wireless Network Account is applied for readers with a cellphone number and over 18 years of age. The account is valid for 1 year from the application date and usable in the Main library, Humanities and Social Sciences Branch and Nanda Branch for personal academic and research activities only.

The applicants must obey the National Tsing Hua University Network Usage Policy and the National Tsing Hua University Computer & Communication Center Regulations for Using Campus Wireless LAN. The applicants who violate regulations will be suspended the right for login in the NTHU Library wireless network. If the applicants are involved in a violation of the norms or laws, the library will transfer the applicants to the relevant school unit for trial.

  • Please select the ESSID "nthu-library" or "nthu-library-guest" to log in the wireless system.
  • Non-application hours
    • Main Library : Mon. to Fri. from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
    • HS Branch : Mon. to Fri. from 12 noon to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
    • Nanda Branch : Mon. to Fri. from 12 noon to 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • How to apply
    • Please go to the service counter and present your personal identity cards (such as identity card, health insurance card, driver's license, ARC, etc.) for mobile phone number authentication. The wireless account will be activated 10 minutes after it is issued.
