National Tsing Hua University Library Borrowing with Home Delivery

  • All patrons with NTHU Library borrowing rights have access the NTHU Library Borrowing with Home Delivery service.
  • Item Category : Books and its CD accessories with an “on shelf” status in the Main Library, Compact Stacks of the Main Library, the Humanities and Social Science Branch, and the Nanda Branch are all eligible for home delivery.
  • Home Delivery Rights
    The borrowing times and items are according to the borrowing regulations for each patron identity. The borrowing period begins once the Library has shipped the borrowed books. If the conditions below are met, the patron will be unable to borrow through Home Delivery:
    • The Books borrowed have exceeded the book limit for the patron.
    • Expiration date of the library card is within 30 days.
    • The library card in question is suspended for the time being.
    • Books borrowed are overdue and have not yet been returned.
    • Overdue fees are not yet paid.
  • Application Process
    1. Log in at the NTHU Library WEBPAC (http://webpac.lib.nthu.edu.tw/)
    2. Search for the book(s) to be borrowed.
    3. Books that are deemed “on shelf” may be borrowed with Home Delivery.
    4. Fill in the application and send.
    5. An automatically generated email will be sent to confirm that the application has been received.
    6. The Library will send an email once the package has been shipped.
    7. A Hsinchu Logistics deliveryman will contact you before delivery.
    8. Sign and pay on delivery.
  • Fee
    • Every delivery costs $150 NTD, cash-on delivery.
    • The size of package is limited to a 30*30*30cm box. If the package exceeds this size, additional fees will be subjected to the regulations of logistics company: every other 30*30*30cm space will be charged $30 NTD.
  • Returning borrowed items：Please return the borrowed items once you are done with them. Patrons may choose to return the items in person, mail the books, or call the logistics company for an at home pickup (fees apply). The postmark will serve as proof of the return date.
  • Once the delivery has been shipped, the patron may check the delivery status with the delivery number.
