Moonlight Study Area in Main Campus

  • The Moonlight Study Area is particularly for NTHU students, faculty and staff who have signed “The Statement of Patron's Privileges”. For reservation in advance (within 14 days), please refer to NTHU Space Booking System on Library's website.
  • Opening Hours:
    • During the Semester and Winter Vacation
      Sunday to Thursday: 17:00 to the next day 9:00
      Friday to Saturday: 17:00 to the next day 10:00
    • During the Summer Vacation
      17:00 – 23:00
    • During examination period
      13:30 to the next day 12:00
      The examination period is mainly based on library announcements.
  • Notices
    • Patrons must comply with Regulations in all respects.
    • For immediate reservation, please refer to the KIOSK.
    • Patrons can reserve seats within the next following 14 days. Per valid ID card may only be used to reserve one type of space (which includes Discussion Rooms, Media Viewing Rooms, Moonlight Study Area, Computer Lab I Area and Language Learning Rooms) at any given time period. (i.e., no reservations for two spaces at the same time)
    • The reservation should be activated with the valid ID card. If the seat is no longer in need, please cancel the reservation 30 minutes before the reserved time.
    • If the reservation is not activated within 15 minutes of the time reserved, the reservation will automatically be cancelled through the system to release the seats for other people.
    • Reservation time is counted at a 30-minute interval. Seats can be reserved for up to 8 hours.
    • Patrons must swipe their valid ID card with every reservation even if the reservations are continuous. For example, if you reserve the seat from 1am to 3am and decide to extend your reservation from 3am to 6am, you must swipe your card twice at the entrance, once at 1am and once at 3am. The times you have swiped the card will equal to the times you have made a reservation.
    • Patrons who use the Moonlight Study Area should keep quiet and follow the regulations. Violations against the regulations are subject to suspension.
