RSC Gold Open Access Journal Publishing
The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) currently promotes the development of its published journals towards Open Access (OA). NTHU-affiliated researchers can publish their works in listed 12 RSC gold open access journals without paying Article Processing Charge (APC).

RSC Hybrid Journal Publishing
NTHU has additionally participated in the OA promotion program with the Taiwan Chemical Society Alliance for RSC hybrid journals. The first nine accepted works authored by NTHU-affiliated researchers in 2024 and the first ten accepted works in 2025-2026, will benefit from a waiver of the Article Processing Charge (APC). This limited-time support will be provided in the order of successful review by the RSC submission system.
APC Discount Requirements
- Qualification: The corresponding author of the journal paper must be affiliated with National Tsinghua University.
- Application conditions
- Submit to RSC gold open access journals or select the option for open-access publishing for RSC hybrid journals
- Submit your manuscript using your NTHU email address and select National Tsinghua University as your institution.
