IEEE Electronic Library (IEL) database contains more than 190 IEEE journals, over 1,800 conference proceedings, and Bell Labs technical journals. NTHU has started participating in the IEEE Electronic Library OA program, which entitles NTHU-affiliated researchers to enjoy a 20% discount on Article Processing Charge (APC) from 2023.
In 2026, NTHU-affiliated authors will receive an APC waiver for the first 3 accepted papers in IEEE Fully Open Access journals and the first 2 in IEEE Hybrid journals. This limited-time support will be provided in the order of successful review by the IEEE submission system.
APC Discount Requirements
- Qualification: The corresponding author of the journal paper must be affiliated with National Tsinghua University.
- Application conditions
- Article accepted date within Jan. 1st, 2026 to Dec. 31st, 2026.
- Please use your NTHU email address and choose the institution as National Tsinghua University while submitting your work.
- APC Payment Process (for articles eligible for a 20% discount)
- After acceptance, Hinton Information Services (涵堂資訊有限公司) will email a NewebPay (藍新金流) payment link to the corresponding author.
- The author completes payment via NewebPay by selecting a payment method and providing basic billing information. (If the payer differs from the corresponding author, please notify us in advance.)
- o A Taiwan electronic uniform invoice will be sent to the payer by email after payment is completed.
