Nanda Branch Library Relocation Announcement– Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

The Nanda Branch Library will be closed starting Wednesday, June 11, 2025, for collection relocation. It is expected to reopen on Monday, September 1, 2025. Any changes will be announced separately.

Book borrowing will be suspended during the closure. Users can still check their loan records and renew items online via the library website.

Return options:

  • Main Library (includes two 24-hour external book drop slots)
  • Humanities & Social Sciences Branch
  • Nanda Branch
    • A return drop box will be available outside the Nanda Branch Library entrance.
    • Books will be collected daily and the return date will be recorded in the system.
  • Please do not place multimedia items or damaged books in the drop box to avoid damage.

Loans are subject to the library's Rules for Circulation Services. Please check due dates and return items to the Main Library, Humanities Branch, or Nanda Branch (via drop box) before the deadline.

Yes. Please log in to your library account on the website to renew items. Renewals will follow the standard borrowing rules and limits.

During the closure, UST Library Interlibrary Circulation Services will be suspended at Nanda Branch. Services will resume upon reopening on September 1. Users may still request items online but must pick them up at the Main Library or Humanities Branch. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We recommend using other study spaces at Nanda campus (e.g., 2nd floor of the Activity Center Shared Learning Zone), or using reading spaces at the Main Library or Humanities Branch.

All education-themed collections will be relocated to the Main Campus. Around 20,000 items related to art (books and scores) will remain at the Nanda Branch, in alignment with the relocation timeline of the College of Arts.

Yes.

Please remove all items from lockers and individual study rooms at Nanda Branch by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, to facilitate the relocation. Any remaining items will be removed by library staff.

Graduating students should return books and complete clearance procedures at Nanda Branch byJune 11, 2025. After that date, please visit the Main Library.

Starting from May 13, 2025, with the launch of the new electronic thesis system, paper thesis submissions will no longer be accepted at the Nanda Branch. Please submit at the Main Library.
