The final day of operation is Friday, July 31, 2026. A Temporary Library Service Point will open on the 1st floor of the Administration Building, tentatively scheduled for August 17, 2026. Additionally, the Hsinchu City Public Library Nanda Branch is slated to open in early November 2026; university faculty and students will have immediate access to its reading areas without needing prior application.
Yes. All personal belongings must be removed from Nanda Branch lockers and individual study carrels by 17:00 on Friday, July 31, 2026. Any remaining items will be removed by library staff.
The service point will handle intra-library loans, University System of Taiwan (UST) book circulation, and Interlibrary Loan (ILL) pickups. Please note that since the entire Nanda Branch collection is being integrated into the Main Library, no study spaces or printing/photocopying services will be available at this location. Patrons can renew checked-out items online via their personal library accounts.
Loan periods will not be extended due to the branch closure. All due dates and overdue fines remain subject to the standard Library Circulation Policies. Please monitor your automated due date notifications and return items to the Main Library, HSS Branch, or Nanda Branch on or before the due date.
Yes. Online renewals are available by logging into your account on the library website. Standard renewal limits and policies apply.
Due to the relocation of the Nanda Branch collection during its closure from August 1 to 16, inter-branch loan service for Nanda materials will be temporarily suspended. Additionally, the Nanda Branch will be unavailable as a pickup location.
Borrowing and returning services at the Nanda Branch will be suspended during the closure period (August 1–16). Reserved books (including UST holdings) originally designated for pickup at the Nanda Branch will be processed on August 17, when a "Hold Pickup Notice" will be sent out via email. Please wait until you receive this notification before coming to the Nanda Temporary Service Point to pick up your books.
During the relocation period (August 1–16), UST library services and ILL/DDS pickups/returns at the Nanda Branch will be suspended. These services will resume at the Nanda Campus Temporary Library Service Point on August 17. You may still place requests online during the closure, provided you select the Main Library or HSS Branch as your pickup/return location.
No study or reading spaces will be provided at the temporary location. We recommend using other study facilities on the Nanda Campus, such as the Learning Commons (2F, Student Activity Center), or utilizing the seating areas at the Main Library and HSS Branch on the Main Campus.
Approximately 20,000 art-themed items—including domestic and international books, audiovisual materials, and music scores—will be integrated into the Main Library collection on the Main Campus.
Graduating students may complete book returns and library clearance at the Nanda Branch on or before July 31, 2026. From August 1 onward, all clearance procedures must be processed at the Main Library.
