Media Viewing Spaces Use Guidelines | National Tsing Hua University Library

National Tsing Hua University Library (hereinafter referred to as "The Library"), for the sake of providing users with facilitating audio-visual items, has set the following regulations.
The Main Library viewing spaces are for one person, two people, or multiple people. Patrons with a library card can apply for usage. These viewing spaces may not be reserved. Patrons must borrow a space at the audio-visual counter.

The Main Library has a total of 7 group viewing rooms and 6 language learning rooms.

Media viewing rooms, presentation practice rooms, and language learning rooms can be reserved or borrowed onsite through the iBooking system. These rooms are not eligible for regular classes and club sessions.
1. Patrons can reserve dates up to 14 days ahead. Reservations will close an hour before the library closing time. A library ID can only reserve one space at a time (including discussion rooms, media viewing rooms, and moonlight study area).
2. Users must activate the session with the card borrowed.
3. The system will automatically cancel the reservation 15 minutes after the reservation time if the user fails to activate the session.
4. The reservation is made up of 30-minute units. The maximum borrowing time is 4 hours. If no other patron has reserved the space afterwards, the original user may renew the space (maximum renewal: 1) before the session expires.
5. If the user is unable to use the space at the reserved time, he or she should cancel the reservation 30 minutes prior.
Patrons that borrow media space through the iBooking system and fail to activate their sessions for up to 3 times in 30 days, will have their rights suspended for 30 days.
The Nanda Branch has one person media viewing spaces and group media viewing spaces. Patrons must apply at the counter with valid ID Card.
1. Each session can be no more than 4 hours. If the seats are still available after 4 hours, the patron may renew their session.
2. If the reserved seats are not activated within 15 minutes, the reservation will be cancelled.
3. Group media viewing rooms can be used by 3 to 8 people. The reservation can be made 3 days prior.
Users of the media viewing rooms must follow the following regulations:
1. Only the audio-visual materials that have public playing rights may be played in the media viewing rooms. The library will cancel the usage rights of the violator.
2. The user of the room must be the original borrower.
3. Patrons who use the Media Viewing Space must keep the area clean. Replicating or transcribing any media resources are prohibited.
4. Violators against the regulations are subjected to suspension according to ”National Tsing Hua University Violation Handling Guidelines”. Patrons will be held responsible if there is any damage made to the media or equipment.
5. The library can cancel the user’s usage rights should the need arise.
