University System of Taiwan Interlibrary Borrowing Processing Guidelines

  • University System of Taiwan Interlibrary Borrowing Processing Guidelines have hereby formulated to share the collections of the four UST school libraries and serve as guideline for the convenience of the usage of library collections for the UST community.
  • All faculty, staff and students of the UST who have signed the "statement of patron's privileges" and confirmed the contact e-mail are eligible to use the reading service of UST Libraries and borrow from three other libraries with a Staff ID or Student ID. Applications on ALL4UST interlibrary loan system are all free of charge.
  • Every patron can borrow up to 10 books (including their annex) per Library with a 30-day borrowing period. The maximum loan period is 60 days. Books can be reserved and renewed. The item which have been reserved by other reader cannot be renewed. Books should be returned on their due date. Patrons should abide by related regulations of the respective libraries.
  • Patrons can search and reserve collections with the library discovery system. When the collection Library receive and agree the application of request, the library will send the books requested to the pickup library and inform the reader. The book could be returned at any UST library desk. The book could be renewed online by yourself.
  • Graduate students in suspension must abide by the Borrowing and Returning Regulations, and adhere to the respective regulations concerning library equipment, rooms & spaces.
  • If a reader violates regulations in any library of the four schools, the punishment should be in accordance with the regulations of each library. Readers that have a serious violation record in any of the 4 libraries will have their rights frozen in the other 3 libraries.
  • Readers must return the borrowed books and pay the fine of the UST library discovery system before leaving the schools.
